fg xr8 ute problems

Reliability has been flawless, which for me is paramount along with safety features which this ute also has covered. You can inflate the price further with sat nav, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, bigger wheels, premium sound system and the many other optional luxuries. I bought a 2013 FG MkII XR6 ute, it has now got 16000 ks on it and is using around 13.6 to 14.1 ltrs to the 100 ks using premium unleaded. Make sure you have the right tyre pressures unladen. But they were bullet-proof, and, in the ute variant, farmers loved them. Purchased this car with 20,000km's and have now clocked up just over 100,000km's and overall this car has been fantastic. Then, that massive ‘styleside’ pick-up tub will do what it’s designed to do: shift stuff, carry stuff, and be seen loaded to the gunwales with stuff, because that’s what utes do best. The brakes are carried over from the BF Falcon. 2 problems developed since my initial review. Thus far I have had nothing on the vehicle fail, the only issues I have had are some noise in the diff which only appears once in a blue moon when turning from a complete stop and 2 or 3 times it has come up with a "COMMS SYSTEM FAULT" on the dash, which disappeared within a few minutes of driving. After the first test drive I fell in love with the silky smooth power from that straight six, effortless acceleration, higher ground clearance then the xr6 and cheaper 16 inch tyres and massive tray. The new flush fit soft tonneau has been designed to improve its ability to cover high loads, while remaining tied down and secure. It is my first Ford, and I absolutely love it. The V8 was taken directly out of the previous model FPV GT with the BOSS290, with a maximum power of 290 kW (389 hp) and a maximum torque of 520 N⋅m (380 lb⋅ft); however its performance figures were somewhat less impressive than that of the XR6 Turbo despite having a 20 kW (27 hp) advantage according to official figures; though it is widely knows that the BOSS290 generates 311kW and 545Nm at the flywheel vs the 295kW/540Nm of the BA/BF BOSS260 figures. Cheap parts tows great, I love my ute . When not in use, the centre seat backrest can be folded down to provide a centre armrest for driver and passenger, with two cupholders set into the rear of the backrest. This was perhaps one of the best falcons as it had the 4 pinion m86 diff(without Lsd though) and the tremac 6 speed TR 6060 manual which was also used in the dodge viper and Austin Martin vanquish. FOR: Strong and sweet-sounding V8, sharp handling, slick six-speed manual, classy and comfy cabin, value. The tyres are waring really well, still on the originals after 23,000km.I cannot understand so many people buying those naf 4door utes, with their small trays and uncomfortable back seat, why bother? The standard towpack is rated for a carrying capacity of up to 1600 kg, while manual transmission models have a maximum towing capacity of up to 1200 kg. It is such a pity FORD is not making these anymore with the last one being the 2016 Model . The problem for Vanguards, in terms of their limited sales success here, was that they were modelled loosely on a large bulbous unpleasant growth. For really stretching the performance on the road however, the ‘manual’ sport mode works best. FG ute pricing starts at a sharp $27,795 for the base ute cab-chassis, while the range-topping XR6 Turbo and XR8 tested here both send the till ringing at $38,490 - … All FG Falcon Utes are fitted with a revised Hotchkiss rear suspension, which is a leaf spring-type suspension ideally suited to carrying heavy loads. Going to buy the last Falcon Ute, and keep this one in storage just in case! This combined with hardware updates has improved fuel consumption to 9.9 L/100 km (29 mpg‑imp; 24 mpg‑US) for all entry level naturally aspirated petrol sedans and 10.7 L/100 km (26 mpg‑imp; 22 mpg‑US) for the equivalent utility variants. The engine is the same as that found in the XR6 Turbo. The XR8 is not particularly thrifty, either, using an average of 13.3 L/100 km on test, and you'll return much higher figures than this around town.
